Oreck.com recognizes the power of various online marketing programs and welcomes the promotional efforts of its affiliates. However, as Oreck has spent decades building a strong and reputable brand name, it is necessary that we take steps to protect the brand and its reputation. With this in mind, we’ve developed policies regarding the following online programs. Failure to comply with these policies is grounds for termination of your affiliate status.

Search Guidelines
Your Site Guidelines
You hereby agree that your site will not, in any way, copy or resemble the look and feel of the Oreck site nor will you do anything to create the impression that your site is our site or a part of our site, including without limitation, framing our site in any manner. You also hereby agree that your site will not contain any content from our site or any materials which are proprietary to Oreck, except 1) with our prior permission or 2) the materials were obtained by you via the Commission Junction site in accordance with the provisions hereof or the policies or instructions thereon.
You further hereby agree that your top level domain name does not and will not contain any of the following words: Oreck, Oreck.com, Oreck direct, Oreck vacuums, Oreck XL or any variation thereof.
Inappropriate advertisements (False claims, misleading hyperlinks) are not permitted.
Paid Search Listings Guidelines
Oreck understands the power of paid search listings in driving qualified traffic and sales for affiliates. We strongly encourage affiliates to utilize search engines in their promotional efforts.
Terms
Affiliates can bid on any Oreck term or product name. However, we do ask that you refrain from outbidding Oreck on its Trademarks or derivations of its Trademarks. Please refer to suggested terms.
Title & Descriptions & Display URL in general
In general, do not engage in practices which portray your site as Oreck.com.
The titles and descriptions must not be deceptive and must accurately reflect current promotions on Oreck.com.
With the limited spaces available in titles and descriptions – take care not to try to promote something that cannot be properly explained. For example – free shipping on certain products must be explained as such. Similarly, free products that come only with certain products must be explained in that context. Please refer to the suggested Titles and Descriptions for examples.
Titles
You may use Oreck.com — but only in a sentence or as part of statement — like "Shop at Oreck.com" Titles can not include Oreck.com as a standalone statement.
You can use Oreck trademarks and Oreck product names in the title – like "Oreck XL® Platinum Vacuum Cleaner."
Descriptions
Description must not be deceptive and must accurately reflect current promotions on Oreck.com. Mention current promotions and offers on Oreck.com if they can be properly explained in the limited space. Focus on the features and benefits of Oreck products for maximum success. Please refer to the suggested Titles and Descriptions for examples.
Examples of unacceptable titles or descriptions

Reason: Implies that your site is Oreck.com -
Unacceptable Description: Free promos when purchased today.
Reason: No mention of expiration. Seems to imply free gifts are only available today.
Display URL
Affiliates must use their own web address as the display URL. Do not use Oreck.com as a display URL
Suggested Terms, Titles and Descriptions
The following terms can be successful in driving sales for paid listings: vacuum, Oreck, vacuum cleaner, air purifier, air cleaner, floor sweeper, polisher, Oreck vacuum, canister vacuum, floor care.
The following titles and descriptions can be used:

Description: Buy Oreck’s air purifier and start breathing cleaner, fresher air – affiliate. -
Title: Order Oreck Merchandise
Description: You can order Oreck merchandise from the convenience of your home..affiliate -
Title: Purchase Oreck’s Famous XL 3600 Vacuum
Description: Oreck’s famous eight pound XL 3600 vacuum is available for online purchase and home delivery. Oreck has designed and built the XL to make cleaning your house easy and hassle-free. -
Title: Air Purifiers Delivered To Your Door
Description: Breathe cleaner, fresher air with an Oreck air purification system. From tabletop to floor models, there’s one that’s right for your home or office. -
Title: Oreck Floor Machines Available Online
Description: You don’t have to go far to experience the power of an Oreck floor cleaning machine. From hardwood to carpet, steam-cleaning to polishing, there’s an Oreck that’s right for the job. -

E-mail Guidelines
Generally, Oreck.com does not allow its affiliates to engage in e-mail marketing. However, if you own directly gathered opt-in lists, such as a loyalty program, and would like you to Request permission to e-mail, please send a request to the Oreck Affiliate Relationship Manager.
Affiliates agree to not engage in spamming, unsolicited e-mail and indiscriminate advertising. Lists hoping to be considered should reflect the guidelines established by the IAB’s Ethical Email Guidelines

Incentive/Loyalty Site Policy
Oreck supports incentive and loyalty programs for its’ affiliates. Oreck is a very strong brand and traditionally does not offer discounts or money back on its products.
Oreck.com affiliates must not list discounts on the price of Oreck products or represent that Oreck or its affiliates will give money back or cash back on purchases. Loyalty Incentives can be used but they must not have a cash value represented as a discount, cash back or money back on purchase of an Oreck product.

Parasiteware Policy
Oreck.com does not allow partners to promote via downloadable applications.
The Oreck.com Affiliate Staff feels strongly that affiliates should be properly rewarded for their promotional efforts on our behalf.
The last thing we want to do is reward another party for stealing commissions. We know that there are software programs out there, downloaded by millions of Internet users, that replace tracking codes with their own. The affiliates that are using this software are increasing their commissions at the expense of others. We actively prohibit any and all known parasiteware companies from earning commissions.
USING SOFTWARE THAT REDIRECTS TRAFFIC IS STRICTLY FORBIDDEN BY ORECK.COM.
Oreck.com has removed all questionable affiliate partners, who were using traffic-redirecting software products from our program.
Please note that if you are using a traffic-redirecting product or are planning on implementing such a product, Oreck.com will reject you as an affiliate. Oreck.com welcomes all legitimate marketing efforts, but strongly opposes technologies that would take commissions from its hard-working affiliates.

Termination
Non-compliance with Oreck.com’s Affiliate Marketing Policies is cause for removal from the Oreck.com affiliate program and forfeiture of any outstanding commissions.
