While both the main filter and the exhaust filter in the VersaVac can be washed and re-used multiple times, they will eventually need to be replaced.

How to remove main filter for washing:

1. Remove dust bin from unit and then pull the filter assembly from the bin.
2. Rotate coarse outer filter counter-clockwise and remove it.
3. Rotate main filter counter-clockwise and remove it.
4. Pull foam outer filter off the bottom of the main filter.
5. If you are going to re-use the filters, rinse all three of them and allow them to dry thoroughly before reassembling.

How to reassemble and re-insert filters:

1. Beginning from the bottom, place outer foam filter sleeve over the main filter.
2. Insert the main filter into the filter housing, rotating it clockwise to complete the step.
3. Place the course filter over the main filter, aligning the arrow with the unlock symbol.
4. Rotate the coarse outer filter clockwise until you hear a "click" to complete the step.
5. Place filter assembly back into the dust bin and then the entire assembly back into the unit.

How to insert replacement filters:

• Follow steps 1 – 3 from "How to remove main filter."
• Insert the main filter (which comes with the filter sleeve already in place) into the filter housing, rotating it clockwise to complete the step.
• Place the course filter over the main filter, aligning the arrow with the unlock symbol.
• Rotate the coarse outer filter clockwise until you hear a "click" to complete the step.
• Place filter assembly back into the dust bin and then the entire assembly back into the unit.
