Hate the handheld, love the upright We love the upright vacuum but not the handheld. I wish it was all in one. The handheld is impossible to use the attachments never stay attached and comes off over and over again when trying to vacuum. Also it is very short. February 13, 2013
This product is flimsy The vacum is overpriced. The design is O.K. But the durability is substandard. I'v had to rebuild the roller a couple of times and today the handle felloff. The plastic retainer pins shattered. A replacement part doesn't seem to be an option. November 6, 2012
Does not shut off as promised One of the main reasons I bought this expensive Pilot was because they showed us in the showroom if you try to run over the cord or anything else it would shut off.. As usual, I ran over the cord a little bit and it did not shut off. Also, it would not shut off when we ran over fringe on a rug. It also does not vacuum shag rugs, as we have some throw rugs that are shag. It is quiet and moves good and easily. September 10, 2012
Oreck Forever™ Series Pilot Power Team Pros: The vacuum is light weight and easy to assemble. It picks up debris on all surfaces of my home. i like the ability to test drive it before making the final decision to keep it or not. i don't sneeze when I vacuum. I like the two separate vacuums so that I don't have to lug both around when doing only one task. In between: It takes a bit to get used to in regards to the pivoting body. It will pivot even if you did not intend it to do so. Cons: My husband states that he has had to cut hair out already and we haven't owned it that long. My thought is that at least it is picking up the dirt. The cost of the bags are a bit pricey. October 23, 2012
LOVE IT! This is the BEST vacuum I have EVER owned. I love that it's self-propelled which helps a lot since I have lumber disc issues. It's so easy to navigate and it cleans like a dream! The only negative I can say about it is that it doesn't come with any attachments; however, I can't recommend this vacuum enough! If you can afford it, BUY IT...You won't be sorry! June 15, 2012
Of all 5 of the Oreck Vacs I have owned this is by far the best one yet! Lightweight, goes everywhere you need a vac to go. I am disabled and housecleaning takes me all day. Vacumning was something I always put off for as long as possible, since purchasing this model I can clean every square inch of of my 3 bedroom home in under an hour. The only drawback I have found is the cost of the bags. May 16, 2012
Light and Powerful!! I just received my vacuum and wow! I never thought I would get excited about vacuuming and a sweeper for that matter. I Immediately noticed the incredible power over my old bag-less unit. With the 360 glide feature, it feels like i'm racing a car around sharp bends. Very maneuverable around furniture. The upright does not have all of those cumbersome attachments which contributes to the light weight. With that being said you know this unit was designed for one task only. I see that as benefit. Multi-function anything tends to be jack of all trades master of none. This unit has proven true of that. Head to toe, this unit screams quality. From the solid base to the heavy durable vinyl bag. The power cable is routed through the handle which eliminates any chance of ripping the cable out of the base. The cable itself is wrapped in what appears to be a durable but flexible material. I am a manager in the automotive field and use to be a mechanic, so I have a good eye for these things. You can certainly tell there was a lot of thought put into the design and engineering of this unit. The LED lights are a nice addition also. The end result was amazing as well. The carpet looks as if I just had it professionally cleaned. Great product, competitively priced, I strongly recommend this unit!!! May 15, 2012
