this is great vacuum easy to use
I got this Vacuum for Christmas 2011 and it has great suction, it walks away w/ you, I couldn't beleive my carpets when I was done it made them look like I had them steam cleanned I was very surprised with the dirt in the bag when the day before I vacuumed them with my old upright I will recommend this to others.

The unit is heavy and the hose is much too short making this unit somewhat cumbersome to drag around. The tools are not as effective as I would like but they are adequate.

great product for the average home
This vacuum has great suction and does a wonderful job but I would like to see the bags hold more. Having 4 animals with lots of hair we change the bag almost every time we vacuum. The hose could be a bit longer to help when turning around but overall a great product.

Fairly good but needs improvement
I was lucky enough to purchase this model oreck canister at an estate sale. It was like new. It's an Okay vac but needs some refinements. I am 6'4" therefore the hose and wands are way to short for me. The hose could use at least another two feet, and it is way to stiff. The vac kept running up on the backs of my shoes. I wish it only had three wheels on the bottom, it would be much easier to manuaver around the room and furniture. The suction is really good, and the noise level of the machine isn't bad. It could use come really bright LED headlights on the powerhead. A turbo brush for pets and the car would also be an added plus. The power cord is to stiff and could use another ten to fifteen feet on it. The bag capacity is only fair. It really needs to be larger if they would add a little lenght to the machime. That's one nice thing about Oreck, there always improving their products. When they get the bugs worked out of this machine, it will be one of the better cleaners on the market. I like the fact that it comes in more that one color, just like the high end machines. Keep up the good work Oreck.

Great Vacuum But Heavy & Awkward to Use!
I just received this vacuum today. It seems to be a very well built heavy duty Vacuum but the issues I have with it is the hose is NOT the stated 6ft but is instead 5ft! The hose just isn't long enough and is very stiff and does not swivel well making this vacuum hard to maneuver. Also the canister does not roll across the floor very well and gets stuck on everything, the canister is very heavy and you have to really give it a pull to move it....not great for people with carpal tunnel and arthritis! I love the quality and power of this vacuum but because of the mentioned issues I have no choice but to return it.

Not what I expected
Got the oreck quest pro couple months ago and found that it is a very well made vacuum but the hose is short and is very stiff . The four whells underneath vacuum kept getting caught on cord and oriental rugs. Kinda of a dissappoinment . :-((

excellent suction, too heqvy and awkward
i saved for several years to buy this oreck. it does a fabulous job with dirt and dog and cat fur. however, it is a heavy machine, the hose is too short and not flexible enough and i grumble every time i use it because it hurts my back. it drags and is not easily turned around. a+ for the suction and the job it does. d- for it's flexibility.
