5 STAR PRODUCT THAT DELIVERS RESULTS
I am in the hospitality industry and we ordered this product so we could perform some experimental steam testing on problem tile flooring that was installed during renovations marred and somewhat stained. Companies had quoted over $600 per room to try and steam the tile clean. This ORECK steam cleaner proved to be a champ in eliminating our challenge and saving the property 10's of thousands of dollars. Would highly recommend this product.

A Non-Toxic Cleaning Solution I Can Trust
Because we have small tots and dogs, and I stopped using harsh chemicals to clean our homes a long time ago. I had been using mostly combinations of Dr. Bronner’s soap, water, baking soda, and/or vinegar to clean the majority of our home. But in my perfect world, it would be nice to get even more basic than that and still have the reassurance that things were getting clean. So, the Oreck Steam-It was naturally a good fit for my family. Besides, with my slight OCD tendencies, I spend about 2 hours cleaning our tile floors – scrubbing then wiping by hand the whole way. Anything that could help me out and take less time was surely welcomed! The dry steam means no damp mess – my tile floors were dry within a couple of minutes!
If you do want to use the Steam-It on a regular basis or to clean most of your home, I do recommend either buying more microfiber cloths or using your own towels (it comes with universal clips, making it easy to use your own desired cleaning cloths).
It’s as simple as it can get – put in desired attachment, fill the reservoir with water using the included funnel, plug it in, turn the power and steam switches, wait a few seconds for it to heat up (the manual says 1 minute, but my green indicator light takes about 30 seconds), and then start cleaning.
Filling up the water reservoir was easy enough with the provided funnel; however, in case you lose the funnel, I also did this without using it just as fast. I used up a full tank (1 liter) in about 45 minutes.
It’s very easy to clip in the microfiber cloths – and they stay put!
The Steam-It has a dial to regulate the amount of steam – from low to high. I wish that the dial were on top rather than on the side of the handle, as my hand has a natural tendency to slide down there and accidentally turn the dial when in use.
It is easy to maneuver and is super lightweight – less than 10 pounds when filled with water. (If a 9-month pregnant woman can use it, then so can you!)
Because it is extremely quiet, I can do quick cleaning sessions when my kids are napping in the next room.
It works upside-down without spillage for above floor cleaning. However, it’s hard to use it overhead without it running out of steam (literally), because the water is not where it needs to be in order for the steam to be activated. This can be quickly remedied if you put it back down on the ground for a few seconds every time it runs out of steam.
There was a lot less scrubbing (and time) involved. Normally a 2 hour job for me took just 25 minutes from start to finish.
Because it dries almost instantly, I have no more oodles of wet towels to wash after I’m done with my tile floors. And I don’t have to worry about my kids slipping on wet surfaces.
Thumbs up in the bathroom – I could have kept going! It was effective and very easy to use on grout, tubs, sinks, and fixtures. It didn’t remove every trace of our hard water stains, but my fixtures have never looked so nice.
When cleaning the windows, even on the lowest steam setting, more steam was put out than was needed. I allowed some windows to air dry and some I towel dried quickly. Both sets of windows looked fine and streak-free. If you have small windows and the squeegee attachment is too big, you can just use the steam nozzle without the squeegee, and then use the squeegee by hand or just paper towels to wipe it up.
Final Thoughts: Oh, Steam-It, you have made my life so simple and yet so difficult at the same time. Why? Because now I have NO EXCUSE not to clean certain things in my home a lot more often. It’s just too simple.
No more worrying about how both of my children like to lay across the tile floor, my 20 month old likes to pick up and eat food she dropped, and how both of them like to sit in the shower playing with all the cracks and crevices.

I purchachased my Oreck Steam-It about a month ago and I LOVE IT. My condo is about twelve hundred square feet of tile and I used to mop it with a navy rag mop and a bucket and wringer which took about three to four hours of back breaking work. Using the Steam-It has reduced the work to an unbelievable thirty minute job. My floors come out sanitized and with a beautiful sheen and all of the back breaking work is gone in-fact it is as easy as using an electric broom.
I've used the Steam-It on my shower doors every week to remove soap scum and on my bathroom tile and last week after the outside of my building was powerwashed I cleaned my windows with it.
This is the best purchase I've made in a long time. The machine is built beautifully and has numerous attachments for many jobs around the house and should last for years to come. It is truely a revolutionary way to clean a home.
Thank You Mr Oreck for bringing us another great product.

Does what it claims.
Upon receiving the steam-it, our first chore was the tile grout, 12 years of ground in dirt..The steamer worked great in removing the dirt but the spot brushes wore out very quickly..It took 3 brushes to do just a little over 125 sq. ft. of tile, not really that much grout..We ordered new brushes from Oreck and upon receiving them discovered that they were vastly different than the ones we received with our steamer..They made the bristles using much stronger nylon and arranged them in 10 individual circular strands instead of just one weak bristled brush..Now we can clean quite a bit of tile before the bristles wear down..Why the steamer we received had these bad brushes with it I do not know..
I also do not understand the negative comments that some users left, i.e. TOO HEAVY, HARD TO PUSH ACROSS CARPETS, ETC.
All complaints that I read indicate to me that they did not read the instructions thoroughly and/or did not understand them..WATER IS HEAVY. If you are lifting the machine to do windows, etc,, do not fill it full with water..Hard to push across carpets? Attach the accessory as instructed to help make it glide easier...
I am a very perticular individual when it comes to spending my money..I want what is advertised...The Steam-It full fills all my expections..No complaints now that I have found the spot brush problem has been corrected.

I bought this to clean my hard wood floors, with 4 kids under 6 and 2 dogs cleaning without chemicals sounds to good to be true.... but It got to me pretty fast. So after doing all my hard wood floors downstairs (they looked AMAZING btw) I decided to try it on this puppy stain that was upstairs in my carpeted hallway (light tan carpet) I have tried EVERYTHING on this stain, including my little green pet pro...nothing got rid of the horrible stain....until I used this steamer.....It was gone within 20 minuets of steaming...that seems like a lot of steam but this was a big patchy stain, Im so glad its gone....that stain alone made this product worth the money! This is my new favorite cleaning tool...Thanks so much for a great light product!! and as far as filling it with water..I use my sink hose and it works out fine :D
Oh it also made my microfiber couch feel soft and look brand new again!!!

Great for grout lines
If you have grout lines this product will be your best friend. My grout looks brand new with little effort. I thought I was going to have to get it professionally done and maintain it with the steamer. The steamer used with the Oreck Tile and Grout cleaner did the job with perfection. If your grout is not as dirty as mine was the steamer alone will do the job. I am so impressed. If you plan to do your grout and you have a larger area to do, order additional scrubber brushes. They are only a couple of dollars but you don't want to slow down your progress.

Best I have found for the money
Prior to purchasing the Oreck Steam-It - I tried 3 others in my Florida 100% tiled home. The other top selling brands did not do the job and left more moisture than should have been and not enough heat. Oreck Steam-It got it right for this 59 year old. You control how much moisture by the control knobs; the clamps are great if you want to use your own LINT FREE cloths; Weight problem - just used less water. If real dirt just hold it on the area a little longer. Just wish they gave two deep pile lint free cloths - the one got real dirty with a whole house of tile - and I wash my floors every week. Filling with water - I hold It under my drinking water tap - it has a small spigot. Other than my floors - it did fine on shower glass; and IT steamed my seats in my car clean. Tried the grout cleaner - it would take too long - hands and knees best for that. I do not care about the wire behind me - it is long enough and I didn't have to change outlets that often. Will not try for fans. All in All I highly recommend. A thumbs up.

AMAZING results - worth every penny!
I purchased this steam mop from my local Oreck Store. They were running a $30 off promotion so that really made the decision for me. I had been wondering how I was going to clean the grout in our tiled kitchen floor & since I own an upright, handheld & 3 air purifiers from Oreck, I knew that I wouldn't be disappointed. Even though I did have my doubts that the grout would get that "brand new" clean, sure enough it did & with minimal effort. I used the Oreck Grout Cleaner but now that I got the deep down dirt cleaned, I think just using the steam without the cleaning product will do the trick from here on out. I did wear one of the 3 spot brushes provided down to a nub so I will have to buy replacements along the way but since they're so cheap, I won't mind.
As for the people who mentioned it was heavy & bulky, honestly I don't know what they're talking about. I am in decent shape & I was not huffing & puffing while using this steam mop. My back did ache a bit from bending over slightly to push it but that's just how it is when you're cleaning.
It heats up super fast & is a breeze to fill up (again, not sure what that one person was talking about).
