AirInstinct™ 200 Odor Absorber
Disappointed in the odor filter
This is the second time I ordered new filters for my Oreck Air Instinct 200. The hepa filter is fine but the odor filter is not the same . Very cheap like a large pan scrubber. For one thing I had to cut it to fit. It was a little too large. When I looked at my order, it was the only one I could get. So I assumed it was for all the models. I am disappointed.

New Filters are Not as Good as Old
I purchased two AirInstinct 75s two and a half years ago. I've been very happy with the overall performance of these air cleaners so I purchased replacement hepa and charcoal filters. First of all, these are no longer "carbon" filters as described when you click on the product details for this air cleaner. I called my local Oreck store and was told they are no longer carbon, they are odor absorbers. They are cut to dimensions that no longer completely cover the back of the screen from top to bottom or side to side so you have to strategically place behind the screen and hope it doesn't move when you click it in, otherwise you'll have a gap. These new filters are two pieces of synthetic material glued together. This was easy to determine after vacuuming them for the first time and they started peeling apart! I vacuumed them for the second time today and they are bubbling up from the suction of the vacuum as they separate (vacuuming with my Oreck handheld which I used on the old filters). This type of material does not allow you to vacuum out pet hair. I was sitting there picking small clumps out. When vacuumed, they are still clearly dirty. Cheaply made… very disappointing.
