Oreck Cordless Speed Iron®
We bought this iron 3 years ago and have NOT have a single problem. I have probably purchased at least 8 irons of various brands over the years, and this is the best by far. One past (a popular) brand I used would constantly get a sticky residue on the heating plate and the stuff the company sold to clean it, was a pain to use and had to be used too often. I am so happy with Oreck's iron that I have just bought another as a graduation present. When you find something really good and reliable, stick with it!

I love to iron and I love this iron
I kept several irons on hand for different ironing needs...till the Oreck. Now this is the only iron I use for any fabrick. I iron for hours at a time and this iron is comfortable and nicely balanced. Powerful steam jets, aim of spray is perfect, the plate glides and nothing sticks to it...not even too much spray starch. Many small, smart design features. I didn't even know Oreck made an iron till I received this one as a gift.

This is a great product
I received this product as a free gift. I was truly amazed at the durability of this iron. I have owned many others in the past, but within 6 months I was usually purchasing another. I have had this one for some time and I have been very pleased with its performance. When this one stops working I will be purchasing another Oreck.

Wife dropped our 10+ yr old Oreck iron and it still works even though it is falling apart. PRETTY AMAZING!
Our 10+ year old Oreck iron fell off the ironing board recently and a few pieces broke off and the temp control knob came off. To our surprised, it still works. I even put the temp control knob back in place and it works just fine. I'm replacing it to my wife's request, otherwise, crazy glue could probably do the job to keep the pieces together, LOL!

i really loved this iron until yesterday when it seems to have a short in the cord...it goes on and off and if i duck tape it "up" it stays on, but then is uncomfortable to handle. i will try to take it apart i guess and see if a wire is loose. any suggestions? joanie. the short is where the cord goes into the iron.
