We have 2 dogs and they both leave dog hair lying around. When we heard about Oreck and the "if you don't love it, you don't keep it" promise, my wife and I decided to try it. 11 years later we still love it!!! It picks up those dog hairs, and just about any other dirt you should happen to drag into the house. It still runs like new. Thanks for the quality of workmanship.

I clean houses for other people and use it even if they have a vacuum (different brand, of course). I love the 8 pounds - so easy on my back - and it cleans like no other I've ever had. The price is worth it! I love that it goes flat and cleans under furniture other vacuums can't, and the thirty foot cord is priceless.

I am now looking for excuses to vacuum. It is so lightweight and easy on my back. I will never own another kind of vacuum again!

Before I bought my Oreck, I had tried at least 10 other vacuums - none of which perform as well. The Oreck is lightweight and works wonderfully. I have never had it clog up with pet hair.

I purchased my Oreck just 1 year after purchasing a bagless "leading brand". The power of the Oreck far exceeds that of the other brand whose "bagless technology" was supposed to surpass all others. I love the filter bags, as my 3 year old suffers from allergies. It’s good to know that all that "stuff" isn’t going back out into the air.

Oreck actually gets the dog hair out of my carpet! With two active, black, high-shed dogs and white carpet, my carpet often looks black with ground-in hair. One swipe with my Oreck, and it's gone!

I live in a 200-year old log home. Most of my home has wood floors that have cracks between the boards. I have a brick floor in two rooms and a rock floor in my pantry. My regular vacuum has always been a Rainbow. It was the only thing that could keep all my floors clean. One day, our office purchased one of your vacuums and I took it home. I poured a can of salt on my wooden floors, in between the cracks, and told everyone at work that if it worked on that floor, I would buy one the next day. When I used the Oreck, it not only cleaned my floors but had no problem getting out all the salt I had poured in the cracks. It's my #1 vacuum cleaner for sure from now on! Yes, I do tell everyone!

I really love my Oreck vacuum cleaner. I am an elderly female, and the Oreck is so light to push around. Some vacuums are so heavy that a person gets tired too fast. The Oreck and its canister are so easy to tote and use everywhere.

Greatest vacuum ever made! Lightweight, easy to handle, easy to transport from place to place (we use ours at home and carry in our RV during the summer months, just the right size for both!) For several years, I purchased vacuums at hardware stores for $100-$150, and they lasted maybe a year. Then I heard a commercial for Oreck on my office radio 10 years ago and decided to order, and it has been the best purchase I have ever made in household appliances. Now I am ready to purchase my second one, and I have highly recommended Oreck to all my friends. Thanks for a product that lives up to all its claims.

I especially love the way it cleans, but for me the ease of using it is wonderful. I have arthritis in my hips and before my Oreck, I could only clean one room at a time, and it would be dreadfully painful. Oreck is so light and easy to use that I can now vacuum my whole house at one time. It has made my life so much easier.

Very lightweight and does an excellent job of picking up lint on tight woven carpet such as our runner carpet in front of our couch. A lot of lint and food crumbs drop in this area, and it picks them up easily.

This oreck is so lightweight for both of us to use, that we fight over who is going to use it...Just kidding...It does such a good job on our floors...Thanks

I just love my Oreck vacuum! I have tried many other vacuums but the Oreck is the first one I have used that does not bother my allergies. I do not sneeze when vacuuming anymore. My house does not smell like an old vacuum bag either. I am a home schooling mom and have four children (two who are 2 yr. old boys, and you know the mess that can make), and I care very much about the carpet they play on. It gives me such comfort to know that your vacuum is pulling all kinds of dirt out that the other vacuums did not. My niece came over to demonstrate a $3,000.00 vacuum. When she did the cloth test to see what my vacuum left behind, there was virtually nothing on the cloth. Oreck is amazing!

I have 13 Saint Bernards that live in my house, and I DO NOT MISS A DAY of Vacuuming!! I used to buy a new vacuum EVERY YEAR, and just throw out the old one. But, since I purchased the Oreck, I just take it in for its annual tune up, and it just keeps working great! I LOVE IT! Money well spent..... THANK YOU! I could be a tester for you!

I have the Oreck upright XL. I love it. It will do my carpets plus hard floors, and it has cut my cleaning time in half. I want to thank you for making such great products.

I have never had anything like the ORECK. It picks up everything and is so light. My doctor said no pushing and pulling, but the Oreck is so light that I am able to pick it up, even after surgery. Thanks ORECK!

I started my own cleaning business 7 years ago. I needed something to make me different from my competition. I hand wash the floors and use an Oreck XL on the carpets and to pick up dirt before I wash the hardwood or vinyl.

I love my Oreck because I live in a bi-level house, and it’s so lightweight I can carry it without a problem. I don't have to have two vacuums! Mine came with a compact vacuum, and I clean stairs and tight corners with it. I order vacuums bags, etc. online. Great customer service. If I were to buy another vacuum, it would be an Oreck!

Really appreciate the engineering involved in developing this great product. My favorite aspects are the hypo-allergenic bag/system. I also like the ability to go from carpet to wood floors to tile.

I thought our Fantom Fury vacuum with its "bagless cyclone" feature was the best thing since sliced bread. Who needs bags, right? Ummm, someone with severe allergies...which I have. Now that we own a house along with 1 very hairy dog and two cats, I was lugging that thing up and down stairs constantly, nearly giving myself a hernia in the process.

Well the Fury broke down, and we borrowed a friend's Oreck, with some initial doubts. Afterall, I could lift it with one hand tied behind my back...literally. How could something that weighed so little do a good job?

Well, I was absolutely amazed, and a week later I went online and purchased my own Oreck. I am eagerly awaiting its arrival and KNOW I will love it. I only wish I had done it sooner!

I bought an Oreck vacuum in the early 90s; it was to replace my Hoover. It was the best thing I could ever have done. I love the power and lightweight of my vacuum, and it has outlasted all of my friends’ vacuums. Everything is still in tip-top shape. My Hoover only lasted 2 years, and the motor died, I lost more belts than I care to mention, and it didn't suck up all the dirt and rocks. But my Oreck goes from rugs to bare floors, and it sucks up all the dirt, rocks, and dust. I'd never shop any other name brand. I'm an Oreck fan for life.

I just received my Oreck XL, and I LOVE IT! It is SO lightweight and picks up absolutely EVERYTHING. Even though I have back pain from a recent car accident, I can still lift and carry my Oreck up and down stairs very easily! I will never purchase another vacuum again. I've been using my Oreck for over 10 years and love every minute of it. So many people have seen and tried mine that I bet I've sold as many as some of your salespeople. I love my Oreck because it does every thing you said it would. I have a cat, and the cat hair is no problem any more. It's easy to use, it's light, and it goes under the furniture with ease. I took my Oreck to my girlfriend’s mother’s home because her vacuum had broken. Well, I haven't seen it in four days - she loves it so much. So I'm sending her to your site, because she wants to order one for herself. She promises that she will have my vacuum back to me in one more day. By the way, she is 83 years old and can run circles around me, so I'm sure when she receives her new Oreck, there will be no stopping her.

I have owned my Oreck for over 20 years, and now it is time to purchase a new one. Thanks for saving me so much money over these years and at the same time doing an excellent job of cleaning my carpets! Hopefully not everyone waits over 20 years to purchase, but it has been great to have the option.

I totally LOVE my new Oreck! I have never seen a vacuum cleaner that works this well! It does carpets and bare floors, too (without having to make any height adjustments)! My husband and I still look at the carpet in amazement after we have vacuumed and say to each other: "I can't believe how awesome this vacuum is"! We have 2 cats with mostly white hair, so cat hair has always been a problem, not to mention the cat litter that gets tracked everywhere! It seems like my old vacuums would just kind of spread the hair and litter around and not pick it up. The Oreck didn't leave a trace of cat hair or litter! The "icing on the cake" is the light weight of the Oreck vacuum -- it makes vacuuming less of a chore! Yes, I paid a little more for the Oreck, but I'm convinced this is one of the best investments I've ever made! Oh yeah, the cannister vacuum that comes with it is great, too! I'll never own another brand of vacuum!

When I first used it, I was skeptical that such a lightweight vacuum could do the work of a huge one like the Rainbow that my parents have. Using it was all I needed to be convinced! My husband actually suggested that we get something cheaper. No way! Oreck is the only vacuum that I will use. By the way, my dad was visiting and used my Oreck. Guess what? He bought one. We have owned our Oreck XL vacuum cleaner for over 5 years and could not be happier with the product. The light weight has been a godsend to my wife who has back problems; the filter system has created a more comfortable environment for the several members of our family with allergies. We used to buy $150 - $200 dollar machines which seldom lasted more than one year (we are very hard on vacuums). With the durability of the Oreck, we consider it to be the most economical machine we have ever had!

I have had my Oreck for eight years. I have four inside dogs and the Oreck picks up every hair. Don't know what I'd do without it. I would like to buy a new one, but the little stinker just keeps on going. I love it!

Just got my new Oreck yesterday; I'd always been fascinated by the infomercial, and I was quite the skeptic about the ability of the machine to pick up pet hair. My two cats shed ridiculous amounts of fur, and my old vacuum was a joke at picking it up. I couldn't get the Oreck out of the box and try it fast enough. Now, I am a believer!

I never believed the Oreck would do what you stated. Now that I have this machine, I would not trade it for the world. It really does pick up everything; my carpet has never looked better. In fact, it looks brand new but is over 20 years old. Thanks.

My new Oreck vacuum cleaner arrived today, and I am so excited to have an Oreck in my home again. I had been an Oreck client for many years and loved it. When we moved into our new home a month ago, I left my old (which was still in perfect condition) Oreck with my son and bought another brand. I was duped by the commercials that stated it was the vacuum with the best suction! I paid $400 for this new machine. It was horrible, I was miserable, and I wanted my Oreck back. My son would not give it back to me, as he has a shedding Rottweiler and loved the performance of the Oreck. So, I purchased a new one for myself. I am not disappointed and am happy to be an Oreck customer again. Thank you.

I tried them all, even Kirby and Electrolux, and none compares to the Oreck! It is amazing that something so light and easy to use can be so POWERFUL! (And it's so durable too!) I always hated to vacuum, but, thanks to my Oreck, I no longer dread this job. I love it so much that I am going to buy one for my son and his wife as a house-warming gift.

I have had my Oreck for almost ten years and never had a problem with it. It still picks up as strong now as it did when I bought it all those years ago. My daughter just moved into her own place and needs a vacuum, so I am giving her mine, and I am buying another one. My elderly neighbor's carpet needed vacuuming. I offered to help. I began vacuuming using her Kirby but soon quit and told her, "I'll be right back". I went home and got my Oreck XL. I vacuumed her carpets with my Oreck in no time! My Oreck is better.......did a better job in less time because it's so easy to maneuver and easier on my back (that Kirby would have sent me to the chiropractor!) Of course I love my Oreck! Who wouldn't!

My Oreck is the only vacuum that I want to use. My back hurts when I have to use a different vacuum, but not with my Oreck. I tell all my friends about it and about how clean my carpets are and how easy it is to use on my hardwood floors. I also have the small compact canister, and it is light and easy to use for getting in those hard to reach areas. I just had to order a new Oreck ... because my old one finally died. I wouldn't invest in any other vacuum. Keep up the good work!

After I put the Oreck together (simple 1-2-3) I decided to give it a try in my work area. I was so excited that it worked just like you advertise on TV...the vacuum edger cleaned around the legs to my worktable, heard dirt being picked up that I didn't think was there (had just vacuumed recently) and the nap on my carpet looks beautiful! I was so excited; I went from workroom, to bathroom (tile floor), to four other rooms and to the kitchen floor (linoleum)...what a surprise. I ordered two, one for myself and one for my daughter, and I can't wait to tell her how excited I am. Thanks Oreck for the wonderful products.

Can't say enough good things about your products. Use them in our house/office cleaning, in fact won't buy anything else. We're constantly complimented on the way carpets look after vacuuming. Obviously, I use one at home (4 cats) and it makes our own carpet look fresh. Gave one to my dad to help out, since mom is unable to clean because of arthritis, and he loves it! I wouldn't consider any other brand. You guys got it right.

It is so easy and does such a good job. The first day I got it, I vacuumed the whole house and wanted to do it again. I was not tired like I usually was with my old heavy vacuum.

The Oreck is light, easy to maneuver, and powerful. I also love the people in customer service; any request or problem that I had was handled in a kind, professional way, and was taken care of immediately.

I've owned a Hoover and an Electrolux in the past. Neither can compare to the quality and value that the Oreck XL offers. Currently, I own my second Oreck XL, and the only reason I have a second is because I gave the first to my step-daughters to use in their new apartment. To me, it makes much more sense to buy an Oreck XL and know that it will be with you a long, long time rather than buying a cheaper vacuum that will undoubtedly be replaced in a short time. Regarding performance, nothing I've owned has matched my Oreck. Its best features are its light weight and dirt capturing ability. It's got quality and value built in. What more could you ask for?

I love my Oreck and miss it terribly. Last year I moved to France, and because of power issues I had to leave my Oreck at home. I bought an Electrolux (top of the line model) only because I couldn’t find an Oreck in France. I hate it. It’s heavy, hard to use, replacement parts are impossible to get, and worst of all, it doesn’t pick up dirt well. It broke within the first year, was in the store for three months, and it was never fixed correctly. My Oreck only went in for its annual tune-up, and I was always given a lender as I have three small children. Needless to say, my Oreck was excellent in all ways a vacuum should be. I had open-heart surgery two years ago, and one of the things that was difficult for me to do was vacuum. Not so any more now that I have an Oreck.

It is absolutely, without a doubt, the best vacuum cleaner I have ever owned! I have two Jack Russell "Terrorists" that leave their wiry little hairs all over the house. I don't think my rugs and carpets have been this clean. I also love how versatile this vacuum is; it went from carpet to hardwood floors to rugs with ease and didn't miss a doggy hair in the process.

I have four dogs and have gone through at least 5 vacuums in the past 4 years while trying to find one that will work on wood floors and rugs with such excessive amounts of debris (hair, fur, dirt, dust, etc). Up until this point, I relied on a SHOP VAC for the wood floors and a separate vac for the rugs. This is the first vacuum to work on both and has done the best job yet of getting up that pesky dog hair, both long and short.

The vacuum bags are so easy to replace and change.

What a breath of fresh air, literally! I have had MANY vacuums that claim to cut back on dust, but I always had allergy problems after using them. This is the FIRST vacuum that I can breathe freely with!

Ok I'm shocked. I watched your infomercial and thought you were a huckster. I decided to try the machine as it seemed like a good deal and what the heck, if it didn't work, I could return it (which I sort of intended to do). Boy, is my face red. There IS a difference in machines. I cleaned the floors in our brand new home (which had just been cleaned prior to our move in), and I took a complete bag of dirt out of the carpet. And this is NEW carpeting. Congratulations on making a truly different and effective machine.

I have fringed rag rugs. They usually get chewed up and jam the vacuum. The Oreck not only cleaned them but straightened and neatened the fringe. THAT is a real test to a tricky situation.

I have had a Singer, Sears, and Electrolux vacuum, and Oreck is the best of all three. My Oreck is over 10 years old; it has needed only minor repairs, all of which I have done myself. When I receive an advertisement about Oreck, I’m tempted to buy another one to replace mine, but I really have no reason to. It’s still working as good as new. Thank you for a great product. I have had my Oreck for over 15 years, and it still works like new. I get a tune-up, and I feel like I just bought a new vacuum all over again! This is the best vacuum I have ever owned and will never own another brand of vacuum again. I vacuumed up a shotgun shell primer, and it exploded inside the vacuum. It did not even phase my Oreck. Any other vacuum would have died, I am sure.

I moved in to my present home just about a year ago. When I came to see the house, before I bought it, the carpets looked new and fresh, despite being 2 or more years old. When I moved in, I used my usual vacuum cleaner, and the carpets didn't look good. It is so light and not hard to carry. It has very good suction, and I feel like it is getting my rug clean. It adjusts from room to room automatically. It is easy to load and unload the disposable bags.

Love the simplicity of this machine (no cumbersome attachments). Am impressed by the sturdiness of the Oreck (unlike many other brands which are mostly plastic). We’ve recommended it to many of our friends and relatives, and two of them purchased Orecks. Am contemplating getting another as a gift.

My Oreck XL came today via UPS! Not only was it shipped to me fast, but what a machine!! I love it! After reading the instructions I got busy cleaning every inch of floor space in our home. With 3 kids and 2 dogs, there was plenty of hair, crumbs, and who knows what else in our carpets and rugs. The Oreck Vacuum cleaner is excellent equipment to use to do my cleaning. It is powerful and easy to use. It cleans on contact and that’s why I love it so much.

Dear Mr. Oreck, I just wanted to drop you a line and tell you why I love my Oreck XL. To start out this story, my wife and I split up the chores when we first were married. She does the laundry, and I have the floors. I feel a little guilty. With the Oreck it makes it easy. I flip that switch and she starts pppuuuurrrriiinnnggg like a kitten. Then I push it effortlessly through the house, and I am done. She is still sorting the laundry. I really love it because it makes it easier to keep the carpet looking great after our 4 dogs come in from the outside. They track in a lot of grass and dirt, and our trusty XL has not let us down once in 6 years. Thanks.

When we moved up here in 1985, we purchased an Oreck vacuum. We love it and recommend it to others all the time. We even purchased one for each of our two sons when they left home!

I’ve been debating and debating on which new vacuum to buy. My 2 year old Hoover^® Windtunnel™ died an unexpected quick death, and I happened to be watching QVC one day and they had an Oreck special with Mr. Oreck.........after seeing the demonstration I couldn’t wait to go to our local Oreck store. Got to use the different ones myself and well, now I’m home with my new Oreck. Love it, and my wife is thrilled. Now I want to vacuum. I especially like the canister vac that was thrown in on the deal. With 4 Golden Retrievers and 4 cats, my Orecks are gonna be very busy. I have RA in my hands, OA in my knees, and Fibromyalgia everywhere else. My other vacuum made my body hurt so badly that I would have to take a pain pill and lay down for 3 or so hours. With the Oreck, I am done in half the time because I have no pain during or after the time that I vacuum. It is light and easy to handle. My hardwood floors look as if I spent hours polishing them and all I did was use my Oreck vacuum on them. I can vacuum my whole house in just an hour. Thank you so much for developing this vacuum.

I had one for over 13 years, and the handle broke off. I ordered a new one, which I should be receiving very soon, but in the mean time I had to use a different make/model. I was amazed as to how heavy it was and how much effort it took to vacuum my carpets. This is why I really love the Oreck, it is so light and easy to maneuver. Well I love my Oreck vacuum because I have gone through so many vacuums over the years, and none of them have given me the results that I got using the Oreck just ONCE! I have a Dalmatian, and in case you don’t know, they have hair that is very wiry.  I would have to sweep out of the carpet and then vacuum and still didn’t get half the results I did with the Oreck XL. My late husband bought the Oreck for us after our last vacuum broke. I’m not only legally blind and have a dog guide and a pet, but have other multiple disabilities that make it increasingly difficult to do everyday chores. We had 3 big labs at the time and lots of dog hair, in addition to one active son. I love not only the fact that I can lift and move the Oreck, but it handles the dog hair and dirt like a champ.

I just purchased my Oreck XL yesterday, and I am convinced that it is the best vacuum on the market. As soon as I got home with it, I vacuumed the whole house (carpet, area rugs and ceramic tile). I was amazed at how tracked-in sand and cat litter just disappeared from the tile, and let’s not forget how my blue area rug is blue again (dog and cat hair is a thing of the past). I was able to clean all 2000 sq. ft. in less than 30 minutes and only had to relocate the cord twice. I will recommend the Oreck to everyone I know.

This vacuum lives up to everything I’ve read/heard about it. It is so lightweight, and our carpets have never looked or felt cleaner! It is a joke among my friends how much I hate (hated) to vacuum...one friend even wrote a poem about it for my birthday! I also have a bad back and my last vacuum made it painful to vacuum, which didn’t help my feelings toward this boring task. However, after finally trying the Oreck, I can say that vacuuming is no longer causing me pain, and I actually enjoy seeing and feeling the results of having an extra-clean carpet. The free lightweight vacuum is so nice for all of the stairs in our house, too. In fact, now I don’t even have to beg my husband to help me vacuum, and we now share the chore! I’ll never love vacuuming, but I do love the Oreck product!

I’ve tried almost all the brands on the market, and I never once was completely satisfied with the way they cleaned my carpets. I debated many times about buying an Oreck, and so I did, and you can certainly see a difference. I had a large throw carpet in my son’s room, and I could not get the white dog hair removed from the carpet. So when I received my Oreck XL Deluxe, that was the test. It removed all of the hair and the carpet looks brand new again. The pet hair is the biggest problem in our house and the Oreck solved that problem. I also love the steam iron.

The lightweight design is wonderful, but the way it picks up under tables and in tight corners and places along the edge is magnificent. It is the best vacuum I have owned, and I used to sell Rainbows.

I have three German Shepherds and four cats -- I vacuum A LOT. I’ve had my Oreck for seven years and use it every day (sometimes twice a day). I can’t tell you how much I love my Oreck. It’s not only light and compact, but it has stood up to the punishment that we put it through. Well worth the money.

Lest I bore you by waxing poetic, here are the simple facts. Vacuum cleaner broke down. Borrowed parents’ ancient Oreck with no idea of its age (probably as old as the dirt it picks up) or when (if ever) it had been serviced. Vacuumed carpet and was rendered speechless by results. Purchased a new Oreck despite well-meaning friends who were appalled that I would invest that much in a vacuum. Have clean carpet. Do I feel guilty for gloating? Nah-h-h-h.

This is such a wonderful system for people who suffer from arthritis or back problems. I have arthritis, and all of the other cleaners were always too bulky and heavy for me. Now I can clean my floors without all of the pain, thanks to Oreck.

I have had my upright for almost 4 years. I have major back problems, but am able to use my Oreck weekly. It is light and easy to maneuver. You don’t have to "push" it. I can’t see why I would ever buy another brand. I have recommended Oreck to a lot of people and will continue to do so. Keep up the good work!

I GAVE away a Kirby vacuum that my mom had purchased and left to me because the pick-up power this lightweight Oreck has is better than the Kirby. Truly unbelievable vacuum....I’m now a lifetime owner of Oreck.  When I need another vacuum, you can bet your boots it will be an Oreck!!!

Mr. Oreck, my wife and I have a problem with your Oreck that we bought over 10 years ago. You see, we have had no problems with it. We really would like a new one (and the free cordless iron, of course), but ours just won’t die! Alas, we can’t purchase a new one, while ours works as good as new! Thanks Mr. Oreck.

I love my Oreck!! I have 2 golden retrievers that stay in the house, and my Oreck picks up their dog hair so well, that that’s why they are inside dogs. I belong to a Golden Retriever chat board on the internet. Someone occasionally asks which vacuum cleaner is the best, and lots of us answer “ORECK”. We’ve sold lots of Orecks to other golden retriever owners, and they’ve all been just as pleased as I am. When I first got my Oreck, I vacuumed with my other vacuum cleaner (my carpet looked clean), then I used my new Oreck and checked the bag. It picked up dog hair that I didn’t even know was in my carpet. I couldn’t get my old vacuum to the trash quick enough and would never own anything but an Oreck. Thank you! My golden retrievers also thank you since they can always be house dogs, as long as I own an Oreck!

Just got an Oreck XL. I had no idea that my old vacuum was leaving so much dirt behind!!!!!!!! You could hear and see the dirt that had been ground into our living room rug make streaks as the Oreck easily got it up. Who needs 30 days to try it out?  I will buy this one!!!

Being a bit of a neat freak, I was always vacuuming and cleaning. I bought an Oreck, my first truly new vacuum. I fell in love at first "sweep." That was five years ago, and I’ve had three friends buy Orecks at my recommendation. They too, fell in love. Thanks for providing a lightweight, but powerful machine for those of us who are ’cleanaholics’. I love my Oreck!

As an allergy sufferer I can say that using the Oreck Celoc bags has noticeably reduced my need for medication for in-house allergies. I was very happy with our first Oreck, and we’re happier still with our new one. In another 17 years when this might need repair, I’ll buy ANOTHER new Oreck.

Bought an Oreck vacuum today and started using it right away. After using my old vacuum (Hoover^®), it just blew my mind how much better your product is. I’m glad I bought the Oreck. No regrets. Just mad that I didn’t buy it before. Thanks. A happy house husband, who loves to sweep again.
